The musicians in Big G & The Tradewinds have grown and bonded over their shared passions for sound, rhythm and beats......specifically WE LOVE ALL KINDS of music. Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band and over the last 3 years together we’ve grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences. We love being a part of the live band scene in the Amarillo area.
Born of One-Nighters
Starting out, the idea of just building a band seemed like a dream. After we did a couple of local gigs in the Amarillo area, we realized that this was not just another band, this was a group of very talented musicians that had banded together to be one of the best live bands in the 5 state area. We believe in sharing our music with Amarillo and beyond........one venue at a time.
Versatility is the name of our game!
We’re constantly looking at expanding our audience not only in the Amarillo area, but outside the Panhandle region. Our set list will prominently feature some new stuff, but we will always dive back into what got us here......the old jazz standards that people want. We are capable of just about anything you want to hear. We have several different versions of our band. Need a soloist and just a piano? We can do that! We have a 3 piece, 5 piece and as many as 8 piece band available for any type event you wish to host. Prices vary based on how big you want it to be. Remember when you are booking us, we offer you the BEST in professional musicians that you will find anywhere. Others try to copy us, but they just can't.
